I have been looking for a sedar top oud to add to my collection. The sedar top really does seem to give it warmer tones. It's a great shape and size for my personal prefrences. Shipped free just wish they could have mailed it a little faster and packaged it a little more carefully. It arrived without damage but could have easily gotten messed up without more bubble wrap. (4 weeks to Belgium)

So my new Turkish oud arrived, and I've got slightly mixed feelings though am overall satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I love the looks. The walnut wood bowl, cedar top and walnut pegs and accents make it look beautiful in a traditional way and the build quality is as good as you'd expect from a hand-made instrument. Mine included a soft case (my only major gripe), and included picks. Frankly, I could have done without the soft case that's included. Hard cases offer far more protection--why bother with a soft case that'll only protect it from curiosity? Seriously, do yourself a favor and get a hard case if you actually want to protect your investment. I had a little trouble getting my oud in tune. but I think I'll like it when I get some more practice. Once tuned, it sounds great! No issues with ordering or shipping either, and no damage or defects I can see.

This walnut Turkish Oud has some really pretty woodwork. The bottom is just stunning, and the real ebony fingerboard is actually really lovely to play. This oud is really nice and easy to play.
