Very good experience. The order arrived quickly as promised, and the oud was very well protected. I received the hard case and the rishas as agreed. After changing the strings to low-tension C–C Arabic tuning (Pyramid Lute Premium), the sound is deep, warm, and well balanced. The oud is easy and comfortable to play, with impressive handcraft. It is truly a beautiful piece of art.
Small note: the oud arrived with basic old strings; mentioning this in advance would be helpful.

Amazing quality for the price!
I am very impressed with the quality of this oud by Kamil Gül. The craftsmanship is first rate, and I'm lucky to have played instruments at twice the price. The set up is perfect. It was just a case of tune it and start playing. As for tuning, the pegs turn well, and now that I've had the instrument for a few weeks I can say that I don't have to adjust the tuning very often.
I'd also like to give a 5-star review for Ethnic Musical too. My questions were answered promptly, and the oud was well packaged for transport. Very impressive, actually. I will buy from them again.
Overall, at this price point, I have absolutely nothing negative to say. I play this oud every day, and am enjoying more and more. You can hear it at oudtanbur. art
