Turkish Oud Black Walnut Guitar Pegs

I was hesitant to order a "lower-end" oud than the one it is replacing, but this is just an instrument I dabble in from time to time, so I desperately needed one with geared tuners and this was the only one available. As it has the traditional woods (walnut, spruce), I was fairly confident I would like it, and as it turns out, I like its sound even better than my peghead purpleheart model, as its sound is more traditional and familiar to me and is balanced and full of warmth. The playability is great across the neck. Tuning takes a while as expected, but I will get more confident over time and won't be as shy to turn a few times past the piost at once. Due to my caution in uptuning the oud upon arrival, as it was totally slack, I have not yet replaced the strings with the nylon ones from Aurora, but the flurocarbon strings (Kurschner P-109?) that it ships with are mostly fine. As the biggest difference will be in the silver wrap of the Auroroa, I am also confident I will like them better just based on similar experiences when swapping flurocarbons for nylons and silver-wound on other instruments.
