Turkish Cumbus Oud Black

I purchased this instrument with DHL shipping and received a tracking number very quickly. The package was delivered within a week and I was able to monitor its status the entire way. The instrument comes with a light padded case from the factory and was wrapped very well with foam cylinders around the body and neck. It arrived in one piece with no damage, and came with 4 soft oud picks, a tuning key to remove/ replace the resonator head, and an extra set of strings. The cumbus is of good quality overall. The tuners slip a little at times and the action did need to be adjusted using the key on the back of the instrument, but this is to be expected of these instruments. They were never designed to be of concert quality and you must keep that in mind when buying one. The nut at the headstock will be sanded down to adjust the action a bit lower, but it is still playable without it and this is my own modification. The cumbus itself sounds FANTASTIC! Beautiful twang and it resonates and sustains for a long period of time. It is very fun to play, and due to its shape and neck design has its own sort of nuance to playing. My only complaint is the tuners being cheap, other than that this is a great instrument.
