The Dohola
Presenting you with a unique Dohola made in Hebron by a great master of darbuka making art, made exclusively for Ethnic Musical. It is made from Hebron’s natural earth using traditional burning techniques. The skin also comes from a local resource, as the family of the master grow the sheep. The skin is processed without any chemicals to allow a warm, open sound. All ties and work, are being made by the family for many generation, so you are getting a very unique instrument.
Heating Lamp
We’ve designed this lamp system especially for this Dohola. It’s main feature is a foot controlled dimmer that can be changed during live performance. The metal tripod is plastic plated to make sure the clay won’t be scratched or overheated. It is a E14 bulb socket, so every small bulb will do the job; we recommend 40W/60W.
Dohola Padded Case
Each Dohola comes inside a padded case, that was designed for both safety and carrying comfort. The case can be carried like a suitcase, or on the back with the padded shoulder straps.
