Quality Arabic Ney Nay Plastic 440HZ tuned

If you haven't tried to play the ney before this is a good option to start. It wasn't very difficult getting a sound out of it after watching a few online tutorials.

I' m a beginner. Removed the adhesive film in woodlook, which I found uggly. Sanded it roughly, painted it blue and sharpend the edge of the mouthpiece by fine sanding. The rest will be much practicing. I recommend videos by Niri from arab instruments. Great teacher.

I am new to this instrument, but I think it is a nice instrument. Well, yes, it's made of plastic and it will never replace a wooden instrument, but it makes a good impression and I guess it's the right way for a beginner to spend only little money and figure out the next stepps. Shipping was very quick and carefully packed. Thumbs up!

Considering its very low price, I was not expecting much from this instrument. It turns out that I was completely mistaken: the quality is amazing ! This ney produces a lovely and rich sound. I'm a beginner and I was completely surprised when I first got sounds out of it and started playing a tune. I would never have expected it to sound so good. It is quite light, but feels solid and durable. Although it's plastic, the wooden pattern painted on it makes it look fine.

I am very pleased with the Ney flute. It is well made and nice-looking, and arrived carefully packed in a good strong cardboard tube.

This is my first ney, I am attempting to teach myself. I play stringed and other instruments but never flutes. The construction is overall good, except the mouthpiece feels a little bit sharp due to the nature of the instrument and material. I don't know much about other neys, but I am assuming that the ney type that has the mouthpiece is more comfortable. The tone sounds nice to me as a beginner, and the hole placement seems to be in the correct pitch. Overall I am happy with my purchase and that I was able to get an intstrument to try for a very affordable price.

It's difficult to assess the instrument before one learns to play it. But I think it's a good student instrument. I was able to extract the sound more easily than from a reed Si Nay that I have. It's light and easy to hold, the sound I'm getting from it is clear. The price is definitely a plus.

I am pretty happy with ky ney. The volume is huge and i am suprised by the fact that this nay could get 2 and a half octaves easily with a good sound

Really enchanted with this ney, I'd buy it again anytime and actually I will. Finally I can play the ney everywhere or take it in the car without the fear that it'll crack or break. It's light, it's sturdy, easily playable and the sound is surprisingly good for a plastic instrument. Registers are quite in tune with each other from the lowest minor seventh up to the fifth in the second octave. I ordered the D version, for my occidental ear the natural second from the root note is a bit flat but I reckon that's closer to the traditional tuning than the the reed ney I make which are quite westernized, and nothing unmanageable at the time of playing. No note comes out sharp so if one were to adjust the temperament to their tastes and repertoires it's always an option to file the holes in order to fine tune to their needs. I'll order the E right now and probably a couple spare in the future, hopefully a full set will soon be available again.
