Arabic Oud PRO Walnut & Cedar

I'm very happy, the bowl is narrower than I hoped but the sound is good so far.

Looks great, sounds great, feels great! This is the first instrument I've ever played and I'm already loving it. I was worried that I would struggle with learning it, but it really isn't as hard as I thought it would be. The ebony fingerboard is very smooth and the bowl is extremely elegant and sturdy. The only trouble I'm having is with how it sits against my arm and the tuning pegs jumping around a bit when I'm trying to adjust them, but that might be something I'll figure out as I get to know the instrument more. Overall, it's really quality product for the price and I'm really glad I picked this one up. I highly recommend it.

This is the oud that I was looking for! It has a very balanced sound, there is an echo and it is so warm and deep, such an Arabian resonance, the cedar gives amazing vibrations, I played it to my friends and they really liked this oud! You hear it not with your ears, but with your soul !

I originally got this because I want to learn to play an electric oud and it’s best to learn with an acoustic first (I can already play electric Lute and I’m sooooo glad that I started with acoustic, you can do more tricks later. ). Anyway, as an Oud-novice I have to say I like the make of it, with the Canadian Cedar, American Walnut, and the carbon PVF strings I feel like I’m playing a ‘next-level’, modern oud. I’m still getting used to playing without frets but thankfully I can also play the violin a little, so oud-groove is progressing. The sustain is short and you can tell I’m a noob because that threw me off a little at first but after practicing scales and some other basics I’ve grabbed online I’m really liking the sound of this oud. When I get it right, it’s got some serious timbre to it and the sounds have a quick and sharp. I’m giving it 4 stars for now but if it keeps going well I’m gonna email and see if I can upgrade it. We’ll see after a little more practice.

This oud is an upgrade for me from a lower quality version and WOW can you tell the difference between what I had before and higher quality materials and manufacturing!

I usually prefer brighter tones instead of round ones, but this Oud has made me thoroughly pleased with a fuller sound coming from the body. I think it is the Walnut body that makes the sound so round. Maybe it is the Cedar top. Whatever it is, it sounds great. All of the notes up and down the fingerboard sound clearly without buzzing. The nut is a bone nut, I think, and fits nicely. I though that this Oud might be a bit too much money for the quality, but now that I have it, I'm pretty sure I got it at a bargain! This Oud is sturdy and strong. I think it will stay in great shape with great tone for a long time. The only thing that I can think of that is missing is possibly an arm guard to protect the peice of Walnut on the front face. Other than that, this is a great Oud for a great price.
